The short answer: because we actually put good things in it, and nothing else. Most peanut butters on supermarket shelves are loaded with hydrogenated oils, added sugars, and stabilisers that are cheap to produce and extend shelf life at the cost of quality. We don't do any of that.

We're also a small-batch operation, which means every jar is made in smaller runs with more attention than anything coming off an industrial production line. You're not paying for a marketing budget or a celebrity endorsement. You're paying for a product that was made properly, by people who actually care what goes into it.

Unopened, your jar will stay fresh for up to 12 months. Once opened, we recommend finishing it within 3 months, though if you're anything like our customers, it rarely lasts that long.

Because we don't add any preservatives or stabilisers, the natural peanut oils may separate and rise to the top over time. That's completely normal, it's actually a sign that what's in the jar is the real thing. Just give it a good stir before use and you're good to go.

Store it at room temperature in a cool, dry place. If you prefer a thicker, firmer consistency, pop it in the fridge after opening, it'll keep just as well and spread a little denser.

We're firm believers that peanut butter shouldn't need a paragraph of additives to taste good or stay on a shelf. Ours doesn't. The peanuts are dry roasted, not oil roasted, which means no unnecessary fats are added during the process. Just peanuts, heat, and time.
